Over 900 volunteers dedicate their time and talents to the Festival.

There are a variety of fun and festive volunteer opportunities.

              Daily Volunteer Job Opportunities

Door Greeter/Entertainment Day Ambassador

Welcome visitors and performers.  Escort performers to the rehearsal room and to the stage. (Standing/walking)

 

Ticket Taker

Take tickets, and hand out programs at the entrance to the Exhibit Hall.  (Standing/sitting)

Floor Ambassador

Give directions to visitors, answer questions, and assist with traffic flow.  Information and history of the Festival of Trees will be given to you at the time of check in.  (Standing/walking)

Holiday Café

Serve cookies and hot/cold refreshments, make gingerbread cookies, and keep the Holiday Café an inviting area.  (Standing/walking)

Gift Thyme Shoppe (must be 16 years or older)

Greet and assist customers, restock shelves, tidy displays, or process purchases.   Experience using a cash register and credit card machine preferred; retail experience helpful. (Standing/sitting/lifting/carrying/walking)

                Special Day Volunteer Job Opportunities

Truck Loading Day –

Load trucks to move items from storage to Mayo Civic Center.  (Standing/walking/carrying/lifting)

Event Set Up Days –

Set up of event – Boutique, Opening Night Gala, trees, auction, café, stage, and other physical arrangements.

Children’s Day Carnival –

Take tickets and help children with crafts and carnival games.  (Sitting/standing/walking)

Gingerbread Day –

Help with crafts, frosting cookies, and more.

Event Tear Down Day –

Tear down of event – Boutique, auction, café, stage, and other physical arrangements. (Standing/walking/carrying/ lifting)

Tree Delivery Day –

Help bag and deliver decorated trees to businesses and homes throughout the community.  (A local moving company provides trucks and drivers.) (Standing/walking/carrying/lifting)
